IET Benelux Network

IET Local Networks are managed by groups of volunteers. Networks organise events to raise awareness of science, engineering and technology in their local area and promote membership of the IET. All Network events are open to the public and most are free of charge.

The IMarEST and IMechE have organised some events to take place in the Benelux area.  For further information please visit their websites.

The IET Benelux Network has organised a visit to IBC on Sunday 12 September, starting at 11.00. This is an opportunity to visit the exhibition and view the technology on display, from the latest in video recording and editing to terrestrial, satellite and IP TV delivery.

This visit will not be a formal tour; IET Benelux members and guests can meet by the IET stand (exhibition stand 8.F51c) for a short chat about the exhibition highlights. After that IET members and guests will be free to explore the exhibition at their leisure, departing when they wish.

IBC exhibition visit. RAI, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Meeting point: IET stand, 8.F51c
Date: Sunday 12 September
Time: 11.00  (due to the size of IBC, we recommend allowing 15 minutes to reach the IET stand from the exhibition entrance).

Attendees will need to register separately to visit the IBC exhibition (if not done already), if you have any difficulties with this please contact Michael Street (+31 65 142 1275).

Have your say!

The Benelux region consists of 3 countries (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) and has boarders with France and Germany. There are approximately 27 million people in the region making it one of the most densely populated areas in Europe. Although there are many advantages, this also means we have a challenge where to hold events!

Please take the time to indicate your preference or provide suggestions about preferred locations for attending events by completing our short survey. You will be asked for your email address, but this is only to ensure we have unique responses.  If you respond there is more chance of IET events being held closer to your location!
